Normann Copenhagen: Where Originality and Innovation Join Hands
Normann Copenhagen is a Danish brand which was established in 1999, it focuses on a growing collection of lighting , furniture, home accessories and textiles. Founded by Andersen and Poul Madsen, they set out on a mission to create products which were both contemporary and inventive but at the same time, would last in a home or an office for years to come.
The brand from Denmark wanted to revamp style: ordinary, everyday objects could become something spectacular that would not be simply used but admired, too. After all, decorating should not be a chore, it should be a pleasure and a way to express yourself.
The brand’s no-nonsense, Scandinavian feel centres around the use of subtle and neutral shades while following the careful processes of craftsmanship – not to mention the bright bursts of colour to represent the famous, cultural landmarks of Denmark. Taking in the important factors of comfort, proportion, ambience and materials, Normann Copenhagen has managed to create quintessential ranges that add so much more than just practicality and purpose.
Exploring new designs and styles, the brand has created everything from vases to chairs to throws to decorative figures in the shape of animals. For every corner of your home, your office, or the place you are decorating, Normann Copenhagen offers something that will stand out – whether it be a subtle feature or the main centrepiece.
As innovation and individuality have been core values from day one, the brand ventures on the road less travelled and steers away from the conventional means of doing things. The result? A feel that is not only exclusive, but one that will make its mark. With products sold in more than 80 countries all over the world, the brand also has gained an impressive numbers of design awards – more than 80 – on their journey.
