Combining almost prehistoric production methods with contemporary design, Max Lamb has created the 'Wiggle' project for Italian ceramics brand Bitossi Ceramiche. For the 'Wiggle' vase, Lamb employed a new manufacturing technique whereby slabs of clay are cut with wire and formed to make box-like vessels. The wiggled wire creates a uniform of waves on the blue vase's external surface, which is enriched and underlined by a matte glaze.

The Wiggle vase by Max Lamb for Bitossi is incredible. I like everything Max Lamb does. He is one of my favorite designers. And it seems that Max always manages to produce simple, dominant objects effortlessly. This one is the perfect balance between handmade and industrial.
