Found in the offices of the Secretariat Building in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, the 'Capitol Complex' chair was developed by Italian brand Cassina in tribute to Pierre Jeanneret, cousin of Le Corbusier and designer of a host of furniture throughout the complex. Defined by independent pieces that include oak wood side bars in an inverted 'V', which support the armrests, and a Viennese straw backrest and seat stretched across wooden frames, the chair manages to be both simple and powerful. The 'Capitol Complex' cushion is not included, but is purchasable separately below.
