In creating the 'Stegreif' vase collection, German ceramicist Johannes Nagel concentrated on the impromptu and spontaneous character of a series of pieces that were each created to the same design directive. The resulting lineup, produced in collaboration with 1882 Ltd, presents a family of fine bone china vessels, such as this textured red and white piece, which all offer their own distinct characteristics born from a process in which the colored glaze is applied by hand.
