Hot on the heels of the hugely popular 'Feast' collection from British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi comes the 'Sicily' vase collection. Created in collaboration with artist Ivo Bisignano for Serax, the series journeys from the table to the outside, visually revisiting Bisignano's childhood home of Sicily where 'Testa di Moro' — colorful flower pots in the shape of crowned heads — are an important and striking part of the landscape. Here, they manifest with a surrealistic twist, with fish as pillars, lakes as fish, and mountains as kings and queens. The hand-painted stoneware 'Sicily 04' vase presents a short and fat open mouthed bird-shaped vessel that is simultaneously a cheerful ode to a distinctly Sicilian aesthetic and Ottolenghi’s bold cooking style.
