The archives of pottery firm Alvino Bagni were the source of inspiration for Nuove Forme's 'Flower' vase, which was influenced in part by a jug from the 1970s — a detail that shows itself in the presence of a small handle. Featuring a complex surface design created by hand using liquid wax and coloured glazes, the vase is brought to life by a black patina that has been applied after firing to impart a unique effect that enhances the detailing in the vessel's floral stylisation.
