A collaborative output from English designer Bethan Laura Wood, Venini and Cassina, the 'Colourdisc' collection presents a fusion of contemporary design with the centuries-old tradition of Murano glass. Applying a series of colour-infused decorative glass discs to a lacquered brass base, this ivory-coloured flower vase takes on a pleasingly abstract guise, while a punch of pigment is delivered by two dots of colour on each disc, inspired by the Venini archive. The vase is supplemented by a blue or amber internal vase which adds another dimension of colour and an unexpected layer that also allows the vase to be more easily filled with water for flowers.
