Designed by Neri & Hu for Poltrona Frau, the 'Xi' table lamp lives up to its name, which roughly translates to 'morning light' in Chinese. Taken from a wider collection of lights that are evocative of sunlight at dawn when switched on, the lamp is defined by two components of blown glass — a ribbed and transparent outer layer, and a pearlescent inner piece that makes the light warm and diffused. Combined with these two pieces of glass, which are handblown by master glassmakers of Venice, is a metal base with a natural brass finish and a saddle leather strap with dyed tone-on-tone raw-edge seams. This added detail is not only chic, but functional as it supports the lamp and can be used as a handle during transportation. The 'Xi' table lamps features an on/off dimmer touch system.
