Sebastian Herkner's 2016 'Boule' collection for Pulpo looks to the time-honoured French pastime of pétanque, an outdoor ball game, for inspiration. As such, the table lamp takes on a spherical form, created by a smoky grey mouth-blown glass shade bulb within which a opal white LED bulb emits a soft glow — a light imitation of the boule silhouette and a nod to the fading light of the early evenings on which the game is usually played.
