Fusing contemporary design vision with traditional glass-making craft, Alexa Lixfeld presents a limited series of dynamic one-off centerpieces. The glass retains the spirit of the fire it was made from, and the memory of the breath. Indentations and air-bubbles make each mouth-blown, freehand-shaped piece entirely unique. Lixfeld’s assembly of rare creations includes this ‘Komet’ vase in powder mauve, with a wavy opening and deep impressions that play with color, light and transparency.
