'Se Poi' candle, Tra i fiori candle decor

The stylized face of opera singer Lina Cavalieri — infinitely reimagined across a range of collectible objects for Fornasetti — appears on this fine porcelain lidded 'Se Poi' small scented candle. The bottom half of Cavalieri’s face is covered by a hand-painted multicolor floral bouquet. On one side, her gaze is upwards, and on the other her eyes are closed, her lips partly visible and the bouquet subtly rearranged. The 'Tra i fiori' decor pays personality-filled homage to the beauty of nature, its shapely lid featuring a hand-painted honey bee. Rich woods and resins capture the verdant depth of undergrowth in secret walled gardens in the deep and heady 'Giardino Segreto' fragrance, which can be enjoyed for 72 hours. Rhubarb, tomato leaves and wild black raspberry give way to geranium, petitgrain and carnation, atop a base of opoponax, myrrh, sandalwood, ebony and agarwood. Once the wax of the small 310 gram candle is finished, the iconic porcelain votive continues to fill spaces with the atelier’s inimtable charm.
