'Nel Mentre' candle, Tra i fiori decor

The stylized face of opera singer Lina Cavalieri — infinitely reimagined across a range of collectible objects for Fornasetti — appears hidden behind flowers on this fine porcelain lidded 'Nel Mentre' large scented candle. The top half of Cavalieri’s face is covered by hand-painted multicolor blooms. The lid features a small bouquet accent of the 'Tra i fiori' decor, which pays personality-filled homage to the beauty of nature. Rich woods and resins capture the verdant depth of undergrowth in secret walled gardens in the deep and heady 'Giardino Segreto' fragrance, which can be enjoyed for 119 hours. Rhubarb, tomato leaves and wild black raspberry give way to geranium, petitgrain and carnation, atop a base of opoponax, myrrh, sandalwood, ebony and agarwood. Once the wax of the large 1020 gram candle is finished, the iconic porcelain votive continues to fill spaces with the atelier’s inimtable charm.
