Literally opening the door to a number of the finest Milanese entrance halls from 1920 to 1970, Taschen's 'Entryways of Milan. XL' is an unprecedented journey through the city's sumptuous modernist hallways. Curated by Karl Kolbitz, the volume gathers 144 of the city's most vibrant entryways, highlighted for their dazzling examples of Italian modernism and gentle marriage of public and private space. Featuring the work of some of Milan’s most famous architects, such as Gio Ponti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Piero Portaluppi, the 384-page publication is illustrated with photography exclusively created by Delfino Sisto Legnani, Paola Pansini and Matthew Billings, who have each captured Milan's city design DNA across high to low architecture.
