The creations of Milan-based product designer, artist and illustrator Elena Salmistraro are the result of an art/design mix, where prioritising detail, the search for objects’ expressive language, and a poetic style are the defining characteristics of her projects. Having founded her studio with architect Angelo Stoli in 2009, Salmistraro has collaborated with a number of leading brands including Alessi, Bosa, Seletti, De Castelli, B-Line, Bitossi Home, Yoox and NasonMoretti.
In addition to her work being displayed at major international design industry fairs, such as Salone Internazionale del Mobile and Maison & Objet, Salmistraro's projects have also been included in a number of art exhibitions. In 2017, in addition to being named a global Ambassador of Italian Design, Salmistraro was awarded the 'Best Emerging Designer Award' at Milan's Salone del Mobile.
