Before launching his Berlin-based studio in 1993, German-born designer Werner Aisslinger was known for his collaborations as a freelancer with big names like Jasper Morrison, Ron Arad and Michele de Lucchi. Now, as a winner of the Compasso d’Oro award many times over and the designer of several iconic pieces on display at MoMa,
the Vitra Design Museum and the Metropolitan in New York, Aisslinger is renowned for his continuous exploration of materials and technologies. Such experimentations have led to the development of the 'Juli' armchair series and the 'Hobo' sofa for Cappellini.
