Considered a pioneer in industrial design, Milan-born designer Luigi Caccia Dominiomi began his career in partnership with Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, with whom he won a competition at the Vimercate School. His presentation, along with the Castiglioni brothers, of a series of radios at the VII Triennial in Milan earned Dominiomi the respect of his contemporaries and cemented his reputation as a leader in his field.
In the 1950s, along with Ignazio Gardella and friend Corrado Corradi dell'Acqua, he established 'Azucena' — a collection of furniture and objects.
