Laila Gohar

Using food as both an artistic medium and a tool for communication, New York-based designer Laila Gohar is a creator of experiences, installations and items that place food front and center. Heavily inspired by the history of food, as well as its role as a conduit for storytelling and as a carrier of culture, Gohar has collaborated with brands such as Hay, for whom she has designed a series of tableware and kitchen accessories that revel in the joy of eating experiences — not just cooking but everything from sourcing ingredients to playing host.
