Designer Gabriel Tan is dedicated to exploring new ways to interpret luxury and breaking archetypes through product and furniture design. Frequently collaborating with a host of international brands that have included Ariake, Blå Station, Menu, Asplund and Abstracta, the Singapore- and Porto-based designer straddles the realms of craft, culture and technology with a unique insight and outlook that is undoubtedly bolstered by his creative direction at Japanese furniture brand Ariake and his role as the principal of interior design firm Antimatter.
In addition, to founding Portuguese craft brand Origin Made and helming his eponymous studio, Tan has additionally guest lectured at Lasalle College of the Arts, National University of Singapore, University of Oregon and Pratt Institute.
