The name behind a number of iconic designs, Dutch designer Floris Hovers is known for his disarmingly simple furniture, lighting and models. Born, raised and based in Raamsdonk, Hovers graduated in 2004 from the Design Academy Eindhoven and subsequently went on to found his own design studio in 2006. Here, he consistently created a number of products that feature his signature,
almost cartoon-like composition of form, construction and colour, and an exploration of interplay between man and machine. Hovers' iconic Archetoys series, produced by Italian brand Magis, is featured in the permanent collection of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
