A graduate of Political Sciences and Marketing Management, Belgian designer Alain Gilles made the unusual segue from finance to design and opened his own studio in 2007. Since establishing his unique approach to product and furniture design, art direction and interior architecture, Gilles has
collaborated with a number of brands and editors, such as XLBoom, Bonaldo and Magnitude, and the designer has been recognised internationally for his work, winning a number of accolades including the Interieur Kortrijk Fair's 2012 Designer of the Year award.
