Vista Alegre

Founded in 1824 by José Ferreira Pinto Basto, the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory was the first industrial unit dedicated to producing porcelain in Portugal. The company’s founder, led the brand to achieve international acclaim early, in 1851 after exhibiting in London, the brand has grown and adapted through modernist, Art Deco and Functionalist periods ever since. Highly specialised manufacturing, teamed with artisanal and centenarian traditions have allowed the brand to remain one of the most prestigious European porcelain manufacturers to date.
