Fferrone Design: Master Proportion and Fanciful Aesthetics
Felicia Ferrone's namesake brand is based between two cities: Milan, Italy and Chicago, the city of her birth. With a focus on furniture, glassware and home accessories such as glasses, bowls, seating and storage, she makes timeless yet playful pieces in collaboration with expert artisans.
Ferrone’s award-winning work is featured in the Art Institute of Chicago’s permanent collection and has received a GOOD DESIGN Award along the way. Ferrone herself was also recognised as a talented woman in the design field in the 2019 “10 Trailblazing Female Designers” by 1stdibs.
Born in Chicago, Ferrone then studied at Miami University, graduating with a degree in architecture. After moving to Milan, Italy, she gained experience as an architect and was encouraged to push boundaries, leading her to work in various positions with Italy’s most renowned design luminaries such as Piero Lissoni and Antonio Citterio.
As the years went on, Ferrone developed her belief that all aspects of design share a mutual dependence and that everything exists in relation to the objects, environment and systems that surround it.
Working closely with artisans, her handcrafted pieces boast the utmost quality and use modern materials and production techniques which showcase minimalism and proportion as two of the brand’s main values. Through simple gestures, Fferrone Design is able to reinvent styles and mix typologies, delivering the unexpected to make pieces that add a sense of refined luxury to a living space, home or office.
Favouring the durable material of borosilicate glass for the glassware pieces, the brand ensures the highest level of quality and allows the products to withstand varying temperature changes. This means that the products can be safely put in the oven, microwave and dishwasher without risk of cracking or chipping.
Through the use of mouth-blown glass and hand-blown glass, the brand skips the molds as the pieces made with this technique are instead, handcrafted by master glassblowers who meticulously follow a tried and tested technique that involves cooling, reheating and shaping to create a flawless finish.

'Revolution' champagne flute, set of two
Placing a creative and trendy twist on the typical celebration glass, the ‘Revolution’ champagne flutes as a set of two comes from the fabulously creative ‘Revolution’ collection. With a minimal yet interesting design, it is made up of two elongated vessels – one of 220ml and the other 100ml – and it can be filled with liquid and used from both sides which creates a floating, mystical effect to the liquid placed inside of it. Made in the Czech Republic, it is crafted from hand-blown glass and it is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, making it great for everyday use.
'Stella' vase
The ‘Stella’ vase is a tasteful medium-size vase perfect for flower bouquets of any kind. Made without the use of molds and instead with the trusted, centuries-old technique of mouth-blown glass, it is a piece that embodies the fine quality of the brand.
'Trio' candelabra
